What is your chances?
I remember a story that a boss told me some 15 years ago. We sold automotive body parts to body shops. At the time of his story he lived in Chicago and had an outside sales route for the company we worked for. On his route was the largest body shop in Chicago, however, they were not patrons of his.
Every Saturday morning he would go to that body shop, armed with a fresh box of donuts and try to gain their business. He spent so many weeks going to the point he knew where a key was so he would arrive before the employees, open up and get the lights and coffee going before they showed up. One Saturday morning he said “I woke up not feeling well so I just shut the alarm off and went back to bed”. He received a call about 2 hours later from the shop wondering where he was. As he explained the caller said “If you will come on down, we will buy from you”. From that point on they were his biggest customer.
If you have ever done sales in your life then you know you will never sale every person you talk to. Depending on the product in which you are marketing and to the capacity in which you know your product will depend on the percentage of customers you reach. The only way to gain more sales is to reach more people.
How about reaching people for Christ? What is your percentage? How well do you know
the product? Are you satisfied with the souls you have reached? Have you even reached any souls lately? Just as learning your product and spending just a little more time will increase your chances of sales in the world so will it increase you productivity for Christ.
Learn the word of God and share it with someone today!
I want to invite you to leave your thoughts below.
